Future for Life Campaign

A Diverse Future for Species

Scientists estimate that there are more than 30 million species of plants and animals living on our planet. From massive redwoods and blue whales to tiny lichens and ants, every species is unique. Each is critical to the amazing diversity of life on Earth – part of the vital balance that links all living things.

Discovering, assessing, and safeguarding species is one goal of the Future for Life Campaign.

  • Our campaign goal: We aim to ensure that there are no vertebrate extinctions where CI works between 2005 and 2010.
  • Our progress: We are on track in making sure all of these animals continue to thrive, even as scientists estimated that 50 species might have gone extinct during this period without the work of CI and our conservation colleagues.
We have raised 67% of our goal, with $25 million left to go.

Every species counts. Every dollar counts. Help save a species.
