Elise Larkin is the chief of staff at Conservation International, where she works directly with the CEO and executive leadership team to support decision-making, drive strategic priorities and ensure operational coordination. In this role, she oversees engagement with Conservation International’s board of directors, delivery of high-level events and executive communications.

Elise joined Conservation International from the Rockefeller Foundation, where she served as director of global economic recovery. At the foundation, she focused on mobilizing more and better-quality finance for climate and development.

Prior to that, Elise held several high-profile roles at 10 Downing Street, most recently serving as senior environment policy adviser to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. During the United Kingdom’s COP26 presidency, she was chief of staff to COP President Lord Alok Sharma. She also worked as private secretary to Prime Minister Boris Johnson and as senior press officer to Prime Minister Theresa May. Earlier in her career, Elise held positions at the U.K. Ministry of Defense, the Department for Transport and the Department for International Trade.

Elise graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in modern and medieval languages.
