Meizani has more than 16 years of experience in sustainable land use, agriculture, renewable energy, labor and disaster relief.
She has worked in the private sector on sustainable rubber and was instrumental in building a natural rubber business aimed at developing sustainable production in a highly complex and often difficult landscape. There, she served on the Board of Directors and developed high-level corporate financial instruments, including the issuance of Asia’s first corporate Sustainability Bond in 2018, while developing public grants to support several environmental and social programs.
Meizani earned a B.A. in global studies and political science from the University of Minnesota and was also a fellow of the United in Diversity/MIT Sloan IDEAS program in 2011-2012. She enjoys outdoor activities including cycling, scuba diving and exploring nature with her husband and son.
