Robert Baigrie, CFA
Vice President, Head of Climate Finance, Asia Pacific Field Division
In this role, Baigrie’s private-sector experience guides regional strategic engagement around opportunities related to scaling private finance for natural climate solutions. He works closely with private donors, corporate investment partners and Conservation International's Oceans and Conservation Finance Divisions.
Previously, as head of developed markets for the Asia-Pacific region, Baigrie was responsible for leading strategy, corporate partnerships and development activities across the Asia-Pacific Field Division, including taking lead roles in establishing Conservation International's country programs in Singapore and Australia.
Baigrie joined Conservation International as an inaugural member of the Liu-Walton Technical Fellowship Program (2016-2018), prior to that he spent 16 years in the financial sector as a specialist in hedge fund investment strategies and investor markets throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
Baigrie grew up in South Africa, studied Economics at the University of Stellenbosch and has passed all levels of the CFA Program.
