Coral reefs are the life force of our ocean — a provider of food, and our fortress against storms. Now, they are under threat. How will we respond?
Helping coral reefs provide for generations
Through our work with governments, Conservation International has established and expanded marine protected areas and no take-zones to protect coral reefs and fish populations. To relieve human pressures on coral reefs, we work with our partners to improve local fishing practices, and help vulnerable coastal communities resist the effects of climate change.
