OceanX Partnership to Explore Indonesia

This month, OceanX—an ocean exploration initiative founded by a team of scientists, explorers, and media professionals—began navigating the waters of Indonesia to uncover the ocean’s hidden wonders. 

From vibrant coral reefs to elusive marine species, every dive and piece of data will reveal a new chapter in the story of this diverse ecosystem.

The exploration is a collaboration between Ocean X, the Indonesian Government, and Konservasi Indonesia, which will expand scientific knowledge and support conservation efforts to safeguard these invaluable ecosystems.

Konservasi Indonesia’s scientists will lead the biodiversity and fisheries research and reporting – using baited underwater research cameras and water sampling – and lead the expedition’s collaboration with national government partners.  Findings will provide vital data for our production and protection Blue Halo conservation model.
