    Suriname is the greenest country in the world with a significant amount of biodiversity. But wild animals are heavily threatened; by hunting, the illegal trade, the pet trade, disturbance and pollution of their habitats, and climate change. CI-Suriname has been working for several years on mapping the problem and raising awareness. The GO WILD FOR WILDLIFE campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance and role of wild animals. It also focuses on the consequences of wildlife trade, hunting, poaching, consumption, and keeping of wild animals as pets.
